You’ve got to hurry to do this… after the 4th stage of the race, your team is set and you live and die by their results. After stage 2, my team is ranked 86th… not too bad for someone that doesn’t know what he’s doing. Alright, now my ranking has slipped… by a very long ways… but it’s not over yet.

Then you can go to http://www.takebackthetour.com and enter the contest there… there are some great prizes there too…. and you can enter once a day until the end of the month…. and of course, if you don’t like the prize you win, you can always give it to me!!

Tonight is the ’start’ of an important right as an American.

Use this evening to take part in the political process that sets the United States of America apart from many of the countries around the world that wish they could be us.

Voting (and the political process) is an important right and a way for you to take some responsibility in your destiny. Use the links on the right to go to the Iowa branches of the Republican and Democratic parties. These sites have links to help you find your caucus site (and what it is if you don’t know).

For those of you who need help… Danielle, Melissa, Matt, Michael…

Danielle, you can go to:

Democratic Caucus site in Le Grand is the Community Center (by the library).

Republican Caucus site is the Fire Station in Le Grand.

Melissa and Michael, you can go to:

Democratic Caucus site is the Montour Community Center, 102 E Elm, Montour.

Republican Caucus site is the Reinig Community Center, 1007 Prospect Drive, Toledo.

Matt, you can either caucus in Le Grand or in Iowa City at:

Republican Caucus site is Iowa City – City High School, 1900 Morningside Drive.

Democratic Caucus site is also located at City High School!!

No Amnesty Today.

After a hard fought battle, some of the members of the U.S. Senate have finally listened to the people… but not enough.

Anyone who took the time to read any of the Immigration Reform Bill (Amnesty Bill) that was recently proposed (along with the hundreds of pages of amendments), should have come to the conclusion that the bill was not a good idea. There was very little in the bill that was worth saving and working on.

People (and by people, I mean our government representatives), have gotten hung up on doing ’something’ about immigration and the illegal alien influx that the U.S. has been experiencing over the last 20 years. What they have missed the point on… is that there are already laws in place that address nearly all of the concerns that have been voiced… they just aren’t being enforced. The additional concerns that need to be addressed can be addressed in a sane fashion and with a formal and open debate.

I believe that a grass roots effort to draft a plain English (yes, English) bill that eloquently sets forth the desires of the informed majority of the U.S. population, might be the only way that something of any sense gets presented to the floor of the Senate.

I’ll be adding the link to the sidebar of RawFlyer.com, but for now you can check the voting record of your representatives by going to Project Vote Smart at (http://www.vote-smart0.org/index.htm).

Thanks for now, and get informed, stay informed, and make a difference.
